With this introductory episode I share a bit more about what this podcast means for your business, and also to give you some insight into who I am and what I have to share with you.
You can have fun AND make money – its not an either or situation. That doesn’t mean working harder or even smarter. It means working SIMPLER.

Hey there, and welcome to the Fun Business Fun Money podcast!
With this introductory episode I want to give you a bit more detail than what the description of this podcast says, what it means for your business, and also to give you some insight into who the hell I am and what I have to share with you.
So if we’ve not met yet out there in the real world or on social media, I’m Deirdre Amies, the FUN business and money coach.
In a nutshell – I help you bring the spark of FUN and personality into your online business so everything you do feels aligned with you, your energy and your goals.
If the idea of making more money in your business AND having it be more fun has piqued your interest, stick around and lets see what magic we can ignite for you.
If thats not your thing thats totally cool, no offence taken, you’ve probably moved on to a less fun podcast already.

WHATS THIS PODCAST ABOUT?
Its about tapping into the power of your personality to ignite the mindset and energy you need, to make everything you do more enjoyable, more attractive to clients, and shift your beliefs about money so you’re charging what you’re worth.
✅ You can have fun AND make money – its not an either or situation.
✅ And that doesn’t mean working harder or even smarter.
✅ It means working SIMPLER.
Which is sounding totally cliche right now, “Work smarter, not harder”, but I promise you theres a BIG difference.
What this podcast is NOT about is financial or investment advice.
I’m not a financial advisor, I don’t hold the appropriate license for that. I’m not an accountant, bookkeeper, economist or financial planner.
I have no desire to BE any of those things either, my personality is not cut out for that stuff. No offence intended for those who ARE in those fields, but dealing with the ‘formal’ side of money is a bit of a snore fest for me.
I’ll go into a bit more of my background shortly, but I used to work in law enforcement and government regulatory industries. Its actually fascinating stuff, but my eyes would glaze over after the first paragraph of legal jargon and my brain would quickly be looking for ways to turn what I was doing into something fun, creative and playful.
If there’s one thing I know for sure, and I’m channelling my inner Oprah here, its that there is no ‘right’ way to run your business, and there’s certainly no ‘right’ way to make money.
It all comes down to what’s RIGHT FOR YOU. There are plenty of coaches and mentors out there telling you that their 33 step system to make six figures in six weeks is THE system to follow, and if you don’t achieve your goal you didn’t do it right.
We all know that’s bro marketing bullshit, right? I mean, the internet has been around for a while, we’re pretty savvy with finely tuned BS meters! Also, my inner shouty voice pipes up with “Don’t tell me what to do! You can’t dictate what my goal is or how long I have to achieve it!”
So theres that!
My point is… You are a unique and individual personality. You weren’t made to fit into a box constructed of someone else’s systems, processes, beliefs or goals.
Connecting with YOUR unique style of doing things, understanding your own energy needs, and finding that spark of passion that can make a difference to your life and the lives of others is all part of YOU.
It has nothing to do with a formula that worked for someone else.
My clients learn how to unleash more of their personality into their business in the simplest, easiest way possible, with solid foundations and offers. Everything they do is aligned with their money goals. Its amazing how simple and easy it becomes to raise your prices!
One thing I know for sure is that I KNOW you didn’t get into business for it to be a money pit or feel like a drag! It’s meant to be fun AND profitable.
If you haven’t figured it out by now, I have a playful and fun approach to everything. I can’t help it.
That didn’t always go down well in my corporate career, there were plenty of those stodgy ‘professional’ types who frowned at my attempts to lighten things up. They’d basically roll their eyes at most things I said, and point out that I was “just an assistant, shut up and look pretty”. Yup, that actually happened. Talk about AWKWARD!
But being fun and playful doesn’t mean I’m not serious and can’t achieve serious results. On the contrary, having fun is my secret sauce! Because if you’re not having fun, why the hell are you doing it??
SO! All that being said… If you’re ready to let go of trying to fit into someone else’s box and have a fun business making fun money, you’re in the right place! You can enjoy what you do AND make money, plain and simple.
