Raise your prices, share what you know, make offers, try something new… JUST DO IT!

Hey there, and welcome back to the Fun Business Fun Money podcast!
I’m your host, Deirdre Amies.
This is a quick tip episode, so lets dive right in and get straight to the point…
And that is…
STOP WAITING FOR PERMISSION.
You don’t need it! You do not need permission. You’re responsible for what happens in your life and your business. ESPECIALLY your business.
This concept of not waiting for permission was an absolute game-changer for me, realising I don’t need anyone’s permission to take action.
I totally get why its so hard though, we don’t want to be seen as ‘doing the wrong thing’. Whatever THAT is!
There are plenty of people out there who like to enforce various ‘rules’ about how we should or shouldn’t behave, but most of those are BS. I shared a bit about this in last week’s quick tip episode on creating a new professional brand with fun and play, episode 86.
We are so conditioned to seeking permission, right from childhood.
Where you’ve got to ask for something to eat, asking to go to the toilet at school, asking for time off from our jobs.
All those times where you’ve heard NO really reinforces this idea that we ‘need’ a YES in order to go ahead and do something.
It can instil such a strong fear of what people will think that we waste even more time deliberating the ‘right’ course of action than actually taking the action!
Which is completely crazy when you think about it, isn’t it?!
Nobody wants to feel like a complete outlier that they’ll be in trouble and someone will come to ‘bring them back into line’.
That is not you, thats not going to happen.
So here’s what I want you to take away from this today… There IS no wrong thing, especially when it comes to your business.
You don’t need permission…
To take action, to share your offers, to grow your audience, to claim a space for yourself and own it.
You don’t need permission…
To make more money than you’ve ever made in your life, especially if its doing something you love.
You don’t need permission…
To do something different to what you’ve always done, in the pursuit of a different outcome than you’ve had before.
So now we’ve cleared that up… what are you waiting for?
Quit faffing about, permission granted, go do.the.thing!
