Hey there, and welcome back to the Fun Business Fun Money podcast! I’m your host, Deirdre Amies 👋
This is a quick tip episode, which, in theory is less than 10 minutes, but we all know how that goes by now right?? It doesn’t really happen that often!
Its always something quick to implement though. Which is different to the longer coaching episodes that come out every Tuesday, theres usually some juicy stuff there that will change the face and energy of your business if you take the time to implement it.
This quick tip SHOULD actually be quick, so lets get into it!
An unpaid note about voice notes…
I don’t know where I picked this up from but, at some point I recorded myself a voice note in Otter about it because it was such an impactful insight that I had to capture it.
Side note, if you’re still using regular voice notes or anything else to record your thoughts and then never do anything with them? You really should take a look at Otter. I’m not sponsored by them or anything like that at all, in fact I’m still using the free version of Otter!

The mindset shift…
This insight I recorded for myself was around the money you make, what you charge for your work, regardless of if its a product or service.
That money you receive is not just for the work you’re ABOUT TO DO in exchange for it.
Of course it is in part, especially if you’re a service provider like me. People pay me for coaching that I then deliver after I’ve received that payment.
But the work you’re yet to do is not ALL you’re receiving that money for.
The simple thing you ACTUALLY get paid for…
People are paying you money because of the work YOU’VE ALREADY DONE.
They see the potential outcomes or results they can have, the transformation they can create, from working with you. They want a piece of that pie for themselves.
THAT is why they’re paying you money. For the results they want to have in their life, whether its business related or anything else.
Go and do the work with them.
But don’t dismiss the value of the work you’ve already DONE. Because other people are watching and waiting for the right time, right place. They’re waiting for their opportunity to work with you as well.
Thats what I’ve got for you today, short and sweet!
Lets call it a perspective shift on money.
Its not about what you’re going to do, its about all the work you’ve done that has led you to this point.
✅ All the years of experience.
✅ All the years of study.
✅ All the years of growth, both personal and professional.
✅ All the possibilities that exist.
